Blossoming Love

Everything about Wen and Peter's wedding day was magical. Who as a bride WALKS a half mile to her hair appointment from her hotel?! Wen. That's who. And believe it or not, she and her ladies remained on time not if early the entire day!

Wen's morning began in the gorgeous Chase Park Plaza Hotel with breakfast and mimosas among her closest friends. When I arrived she already had her stunning gown hung on the window for me, as well as her bridal accessories ready to go; which included Christian Louboutin heels (a gift from her love, Peter for their wedding day, cue all the feels and envy since the shoes were on Wen's "bucket list"!). After picking myself up off of the floor (just kidding!) it was time for Wen to have her makeup down by her maid of honor. Not long after, she told announced it was time for hair! I said, "Ok! I'll grab my car and meet you ladies in the garage!" To which Wen replied, "Ok! We're going to walk!" Mind you, it was reaching 90 degrees on a busy Saturday in the Central West End. But without hesitation, on they went! So who am I to drive? Even though I was wearing all black pants, shirt and shoes. Oh well, when in Rome! Or St. Louis I guess.

Anyway! Phillip Johnson Salon did an amazing job of completing up-dos for six women in record time. Wen even had time to stop by her apartment and pick up a few last minute must haves!

We continued to the Missouri Botanical Garden where we would be for the rest of the day. Wen must have really wanted to get her steps in for the day as we hiked it across the garden to the Japanese Gardens for their first look. Their first look was a sweet and tender moment, especially when Peter gently dried Wen's tears with his handkerchief. From there it was a photographer's dream; free reign over the entire garden!

One of my favorite things about Peter and Wen is that they do WHATEVER I ask without hesitation. Their romantic love shines so bright through their images, which I felt so blessed to capture since they are (according to their friends) very introverted. Peter is just so incredibly sweet, kind and a true gentleman. He attends to Wen in a seconds notice without having to even be asked. And sweet Wen is a classy, genuine and also super sweet woman who loves her family so much! Peter and Wen are both blessed with amazing, loving families who support them wholeheartedly.

Mr. And Mrs. Zhao, thank you so, so much for allowing us to come with you on your beautiful journey of a wedding day! I truly hope you love these photographs as much as I do!
