You May Say I'm a Dreamer

Friends. I love new home photo sessions. Especially when they're for one of my best friends who has worked her freakin' butt off to get there.
Since I haven't had the pleasure of writing a blog for these two previously, I'll just fill you in.
I've known Alex for over ten years now. And not JUST Alex, but his three siblings as well as his parents. He and I worked together at Ozzie's Restaurant & Sports Bar for several years in the earlier part of the century. We became really good friends which lead me to meet his awesome family. But like some friendships, we kind of went our separate ways during college but kept in touch every once in a while. I actually remember when he first started dating Veronica and feeling so happy that he found someone who loved him like no one else could. I remember seeing (and by seeing I mean stalking) their relationship and following the posts of pure joy. Eventually I saw that they had gotten engaged, to which I'm pretty sure I commented something to the effect of, "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you two! Now don't screw it up!" Which was pretty indicative of the sometimes brutally honest relationship we shared.
Later I began to see posts of Veronica's photography and loved every image. So when it was time for another one of my best friends to get married, I sent her Veronica's page; to which she also fell in love with Veronica's art. I contacted Veronica to chat about the wedding details and we instantly hit it off. Even though we had Alex in common, I often forget that. We began attending photography events together and she helped me with fine tuning some camera functions. Quickly we became "work wives"; each others go-to for wedding second photographers and activities. I was there for what I assume to be (and hopefully will) the most difficult time in her life. Which in my opinion solidified our friendship.
Since then we've shared a lot of great memories, weddings and photographs. Recently, Veronica and Alex purchased their very first home; something they have been working towards for a few years. Something they probably didn't think was going to be a reality and if it was then it surely wouldn't happen anytime soon. And what a first home it is! Open, spacious, tons of storage, separate spaces for both their passions, all located conveniently to shopping but secluded behind trees. I was lucky enough to be invited over during the beginning stages of the move (even though we were working together the ACTUAL day of the move, sorry Alex!).
The images below are some of the sweetest, most heartfelt and fun that I've ever captured. I was laughing and shaking my head while editing them, and there may or may not have been a few tears shed for some.
My dear Veronica and Alex, thank you so much for spending your afternoon with me and I truly hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
