Just Us Two

Is it just me or is this year flying by?! I can't believe it's already the last day of February!

Anyway, meet Andi and Scott. They're the bomb diggity. It may sound like a no-brainer, you may even say "Sonni, why would anyone hire a photographer for one of the biggest days of their life that they don't trust?!", but trust is a big deal. And from the moment I first met with Andi and Scott, I could tell they took what I had to say to heart. After we left, I was SO anxious to hear back from them if I was the one; mainly because they are such a great couple, I wanted their wedding and wanted it bad.

Scott and Andi are the finish-each other's-sentences type of couple. If one of them can't find the words, they simply look at one another and the rest of the sentence is born, like couple's ESP. They are so much fun to even just be around. Their session was more like three friends hiking around a park (except for the fact that two of the three looked amazing and the third had a camera stuck to her face). And that's the second thing about these two; I joked with Andi about having Scott make me a helmet with my camera attached to it because they are so dang adorable that literally every second they're doing something picture-worthy. In fact, I barely had to prompt these two at all! Most of these moments are completely organic, made by them just being themselves with each other. This trust they have in me to just let go allowed me to also relax and think more creatively; what more could a photographer want?! Maybe gorgeous sunlight? Well we got that too.

After photographing primarily indoors or in overcast conditions since January, Mr. Golden Sun shining down on us was glorious. It also happens that Andi loves sun-flares JUST as much as I do (hard to believe, I know)! This my friends was truly a recipe for greatness.

Andrea and Scott, June will be here before we know it and I don't know about you two, but I'm SO ready for it! Thank you so much for an afternoon of laughs and great conversation (as well as a little trouble-making..oops!). I am so honored you chose me and to be part of your best day ever!
