Love, Lots of Laughter & Happily Ever After

Full disclosure, I'm probably going to cry writing this. So don't feel silly if you do reading it.

Jessica and Travis. Whew man. When a girl gets engaged, she hopes for the most perfect day even before a date is chosen. Jessica got it. I've been blessed to have been a part of A LOT of weddings. Like, so many. And I can confidently say not many, if any at all, have gone as smoothly as Mr. and Mrs. McKenna's wedding day. The best day ever it truly was. Everything from the hilarious priest to the 75 and sunny weather to the toasts to the first dance.

As a photographer, I do my very best to capture my clients' personalities. Travis and Jessica are FULL to the brim with personality, in the best way imaginable. And does that shine through their photos or what; I was crying and laughing editing them which, makes one feel like a crazy person since I editing in an office by myself, typically when no one else is awake. But it is literally impossible to not at least smile at photos of these two. Their love is so fun. Just fun. I don't know how else to describe it. They are completely in love, like if you look up "in love" in the Webster dictionary, their photo would be there. If you were to thumb-over to "fun" they would be there too.

I got the chance to meet and speak with a lot of their family members; they are equally as amazing. Support and love just filled the rooms during their ceremony as well as the reception. Travis' mother and I spoke for a good amount of time at the reception. She told me about the night Travis came home from a date with Jessica. And just like the movies, he told his mom that Jess was it; she's the one (insert me now crying typing this and during this conversation because I'm a huge sap). To top it off, I asked her if she cried since you know, we moms cry over EVERYTHING. You know what she told me? She said she was PROUD. Proud of her son for coming back from pain and hurt. Proud of her son that he found his perfect match. Proud of her son that he found his forever; his Jessica.

Travis and Jessica are everything a couple should hope to be. There are a TON of the littlest things about their relationship that after four years of marriage reminds me why I married my husband and it makes me want to love more deeply. Travis' hand placement on Jessica, his gentle touch. The way Jessica looks at Travis when he's not looking at her. How they interact with each other; as if no one else is around nor matters in the world. Their differences compliment each other and their similarities shine bright.

Their love and their day is what I hope everyone gets to experience.

Mr. and Mrs. McKenna, I can't thank you enough for allowing me the absolute pleasure of being a part of your wedding day, your best day ever. You two will forever hold a special place in my little photographer heart. Enjoy your memories.
