WARNING: This post contain multiple sappy, corny, cheesy, lovey-dovey moments, proceed at your own risk!
I think it's safe to say that most people don't "love" their jobs. Sometimes even we photographers get stuck in a rut. The more I reflect on how amazing my profession truly is, the more I realize why I truly do LOVE it. I love it because of people like Jenn and Kyle. I love it because I get the opportunity to literally freeze time and capture some of my closest friends being truly, deeply, purely, happy. What other job allows you to do that?! I get the opportunity to be a special part of their most cherished moments and give them something they can hold on to when memories fade.
Jenn and I have known each other for ten years now. And no, it's not like "we met in high school" ten years but real we-worked-together-and-now-we're-old known each other. So, with that being said, I have the privilege of getting to say that I have never seen Jenn happier and more full-filled than when she began dating Kyle. They challenge each other to do better, be better and live better. Jenn and Kyle are unapologetically themselves; which I can absolutely not get enough of. Aside from loving their friends and family whole-heartedly, they love each other bigger than they probably thought even possible. Each of them has a career they have worked very hard to achieve, however they never miss an opportunity to travel and do something for themselves.
So when Kyle proposed in June of 2016, my first reaction was FINALLY! My second thought was, well I better get out my planner because this girl will need some help! But, not really to my surprise, these two love birds are going at their own pace, doing things how they want to. And that is perfect. With a floated wedding date that never seems to land, Jenn and Kyle are in wedding planning limbo. Which is perfect. Because they're perfect for each other and I couldn't imagine them as well as this experience any other way.
Future Mr. and Mrs. Murphy, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your super cute, non-awkwardness. I hope these images make you two smile as much as I did.
