The Last Piece of the Puzzle

Sydie has a very special place in my heart; mainly because our friendship didn't begin that way. She and I had a we're-so-similar-we-don't-get-along thing going on for a few months. We worked together in close quarters (about three feet) for over two years. Even though we had a rocky start, once my husband left for basic training, she, a military wife herself, blew me away with her generosity. It wasn't monetary and she didn't shower me with expensive gifts. She made me a "survival kit" filled with things from Here Today and the dollar store (they neighbored our work building). The item that meant the most out of the entire bag was a card that she wrote a message in. Understand that up until that point, we were "work proximity associates" basically. But there's something that happens when you have just one small thing in common; sometimes it's a show, sometimes it's a favorite place and often times it's a hardship. Although my husband was just going to basic training and hers had been deployed a few years before, she knew it would be a rough and possibly lonely period in my life. So she took it upon herself to make sure I felt supported and loved throughout his entire training. For that I will be forever grateful.

Sydie is one of the most kind and self-less people I have ever met. Even though she can act tough, she is truly a sweetheart that will do anything and everything for the people she loves.

Luckily for baby Jaxson, he has her as his mom!

Both of Sydie and Matt's boys are pure miracles (even more so than normal!). They went through a lot of pain but the result is well worth it.

Thank you so much for allowing me in to your beautiful home to capture the amazing dynamic and love you all share.

Welcome Baby Jaxson; the last piece of the Johnston puzzle!
